Everyone needs an introduction.

Name: Rachel

Age: 21

How far along are you?: 21 weeks and 1 day

Estimated due date: Oct 23, 2008.

Do you have any other children?: First time mommy.

How long did you TTC before this? Or was it a surprise?: Not very long at all, I'd say four to five months at the most.

What symptoms are you experiencing: Well, I pee pretty often. I was having shortness of breath because I had been standing all day at work with no breaks (even though my boss knew I was pregnant and my doctor said I needed a break at least every hour!). My back and/or tail bone hurts a little bit when I stand or sit for too long. I dislike being unable to breathe. I hate sleeping on my side and always wake up on my back. And my little boy kicks around and is active a lot :)

How long did you TTC before this? Or was it a surprise? Oh, total surprise. So close to not planned it's not even funny... So, doing the Single mommy thing again :)

What symptoms are you experiencing: I dislike being unable to breathe. I miss regular breathing patterns, lol. My shoulders and neck hurt from sleeping on my side, and I STILL wake up in the middle of the night and find myself sleeping on my back. Waking up a few times a night to pee... He's moving around at decent times however, so I forgive him...

Any Dr. Appointments / ultrasounds / tests this coming week?: Nope... Don't have to go back to the Endocrinologist till July, and OB appointment is at the end of the month...

Hope to talk to you soon!!

Name: Cassondra but you can call me Cassy ;)

Age: 24

How far along are you?: 18 weeks and 6 days

Estimated due date: Oct 28th

Do you have any other children?: Yes, my hubby and I have a 4 year old son who will be 5 in September.

How long did you TTC before this? Or was it a surprise? We have been trying for 1 1/2 years and I was starting to worry, but then all of a sudden I started feeling really sick and thought I was coming down with the flu. My hubby said he thought I was pregnant and came home with a pregnancy test, and Yay!! It was positive!!!

What symptoms are you experiencing: At the moment nothing much. I still haven't felt the baby move. :( Well, not that I am aware of. Morning, afternoon, and evening sickness is over with, thank goodness! I'm feeling pretty good!

Any Dr. Appointments / ultrasounds / tests this coming week?: Not any that is planned. :)

*We haven't found out yet if the baby is a boy or a girl. We are hoping for a girl!! I am always looking for new "Mommy friends" because I don't have many. So don't be shy and let's become friends!! LoL!*

Baby movement

I felt the baby move for the first time last night--well, the first time I could definitely identify it as baby and not indigestion. :) So exciting! My midwife had told me I should start feeling it between 16 and 20 weeks, so of course I've been impatiently waiting since 16 weeks (I'm almost 19 weeks now).

Question, for those of you who have already felt movement: it's normal to just feel it every so often at first, right? As in, I shouldn't worry that I haven't felt anything since last night?

Went to my 1030 appointment, which consisted of a whole lot of swabbing and bloodwork. Thought I would find out the results of the prenatal screening, but I still need one more blood test done, which they scheduled for May 12th.

Got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time, and they altered my dates a bit.

new due date: october 27th!

not nearly as cool as Halloween, but whatever. I get to meet the baby that much earlier!

x-posted to death.

it's a... girl???

Saturday night, I dreampt (sp?) I had a baby girl.  She had pooed everywhere, so I was taking her in the shower to clean her off, and she absolutely loved the water.  She had a head full of dark hair, and astonishing blue eyes, and big rosy cheeks.  Pretty much the cutest kid ever... even if she was a nasty poo-monster.

Anyway, the eye colour from the dream really stood out for me, and I found a picture that's pretty close:

Anyone else caught 'glimpses' of their little ones?

To tell or not to tell?

I have a job interview tomorrow with an employer that I applied with last fall. She was dead set on hiring me because of my personality but things didn't work out for a full time position. She called me today and asked if I would be interested in part time in the afternoons and on Saturdays. I know she likes me and knows me, she knows my family, but would it be smart to let her know I'm pregnant? I plan on letting her know that it will be absolutely no hindrance to the job. Good idea or no?
